A Night In: Lexis Suites Penang, a group-friendly beachfront retreat

Group-friendly suites

Lexis Suites Penang’s Premium Pool Suite is equipped with two plush king-sized beds.

Upon our warm welcome by way of refreshing pick-me-ups and hot towels at the grand lobby, we were whisked away into our Premium Pool Suites. Each suite offers a lavish 89 sqm of space to comfortably accommodate four adults – complete with two plush king beds, a spacious bathtub and shower area, bespoke bath amenities, as well as a private pool and steam room in the beach-facing balcony.

You’d best believe we made full use of the pool, which was our favourite corner of the hotel for its spectacular views, gentle sea breeze, and unhindered privacy. It’s worth noting that the bathroom is separated from the bedroom and balcony area, ensuring sufficient privacy for friends and colleagues staying together.

All-day dining offerings

Although Penang has plenty of food spots waiting to be explored, it doesn’t hurt to have a few options at your doorstep, too. At Lexis Suites Penang, a plethora of dining venues await to satisfy your appetite.

Umi Japanese Restaurant serves pork-free Japanese cuisine.

For breakfast, we had the complimentary buffet spread at Umi Japanese Restaurant, featuring local and continental dishes in a modern dining space. The pork-free restaurant also serves Japanese cuisine including tempura, sashimi, teppanyaki, and other seasonal specialties for lunch and dinner. Customers can order from a la carte or bento set menus, with tatami rooms available for those who prefer group dining.

Alternatively, Roselle Coffee House welcomes diners for all-day dining culinary offerings. This halal-certified space serves buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as weekend hi-tea delights. To bask in panoramic vistas while dining, head over to Satellite Restaurant & Bar on the hotel’s top floor (level 25) to savour afternoon tea bites and refreshing beverages in an intimate setting.

Facilities for all ages

If the private pool and steam room are not enough to keep you entertained, there’s a host of recreational facilities to fill up your time in the hotel. On the eighth floor, you’ll find the LexSpa, providing an escape into a serene oasis offering indulgent massage and beauty treatments for head-to-toe rejuvenation. The hotel’s main pool and O2 Gym are also located on the same floor, ensuring guests can keep up with their fitness regime while on holiday.

For younger guests, Kidz World offers an indoor playground for children to play and learn in a safe, fun, and engaging environment. Here, kids can interact with their peers and explore a range of sensory-stimulating activities. On the other hand, the Games Room lets you put your skills to the test with an array of family-friendly games such as foosball, billiards, and arcade machines.

Karaoke fans can sing to their heart’s content at Starz Karaoke, equipped with four rooms featuring state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment. Other outdoor activities offered by Lexis Suites Penang include beach volleyball, mini futsal, bicycle rides, kite flying, and more.
