This year, Hublot’s Classic Fusion is getting some love from a three-way triangle of Hublot, Italia Independent and Italian tailor Rubinacci.
As a watchmaker, Hublot has continually pushed boundaries with the partnerships it takes for watches that continue to wow.
One of its most renowned is that with Italia Independent and its founder Lapo Elkann that has thus far spun 2 collections for the legendary Big Bang Unico model.
This year, Hublot’s Classic Fusion is about to get some love, this time from a three-way triangle of Hublot, Italia Independent and the famous Italian tailor Rubinacci.
The Art of Fusion, as the new collection is called, is made to measure to Alkenn’s own level of style. He is, after all, only a man frequently named “the most elegant man in the world” and is known for bringing Ferrari’s ‘Tailor Made’ programme to life while continuing to expand the concept with the cars, boats, plans and helicopters with Garage Italia Customs. No extent of customisation is too unique for him, and no depth of creativity, too innovative.
Dressing the new collection is “sartoria Rubinacci”, home of the most beautiful collection of fabrics in archives. They were not at all chosen at random. Three generations of the Rubinacci name have been at the reins of good taste and masculine refinement, having dressed the likes of the Duke of Kent to Bryan Ferry – not to mention of course, the Agnelli family, of which Alpo Elkann himself is the heir.
Between the three power-names in horology, style and innovation, comes a new watch collection of cutting edge time-keeping dressed in precious fabrics of houndstooth, tweeds and a collection of tartans.
