An icon born in 1997 under Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Baguette swiftly became a cult accessory for rebelling against the minimal aesthetic of the time.
We’re calling it, the Fendi Baguette bag will be one of the it bags of SS19. Celebrities are often spotted carrying vintage Baguette bags, so you can imagine their response to the revamped editions hitting the brand’s runway at Milan Fashion Week last September.
With the new season’s collection landing in stores soon, it’s only a matter of time before it takes over your Instagram feed – and everywhere else.
An icon born in 1997 under Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Baguette swiftly became a cult accessory for rebelling against the minimal aesthetic of the time. That same radical attitude is portrayed in this ‘comeback collection’, reinterpreted with new proportions including oversized and mini versions.
The Maison’s creative and meticulous craftsmanship seals the bag’s appeal, featuring a kaleidoscopic range of materials such as denim, embroidered jacquard and the updated eye-catching hyper soft FF logo embossed leather in white, black and pastel colours. It’s unmistakably Fendi at that.
Like every cult object that’s as iconic and revolutionary as it is, it deserves a label of its own. So don’t call it a bag, Fendi says, call it a Baguette.
