Olympic freestyle-skiing star Eileen Gu shows off Louis Vuitton’s latest Twist bags in a wintery campaign, featuring breathtaking views of the Italian Dolomites.
Shot at the Messner Mountain Museum Corones, the campaign’s location holds special meaning to the Chinese-American ski champion as it was where she won her first freeski World Cup.
Sharing the campaign video on Instagram, the 18-year-old thanked Louis Vuitton and creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, writing: “a dream come true is an understatement. 15-year-old me would have never believed that one day her seemingly intangible ambitions of shooting a campaign with @louisvuitton would come true, without having to sacrifice any of her other passions.”
The Twist is one of Louis Vuitton’s most iconic bags, known for its signature LV Twist lock closure that spotlights the Maison’s heritage. Every season, the Twist is reinvented with new designs, while retaining its distinguishing twist lock feature. This winter, the models sport new feminine colours as well as a Monogram flower embellished chain.
