In honour of their golden jubilee, Cortina Watch will launch a series of limited-edition commemorative watches in collaboration with some of the industry’s most esteemed watchmakers. Celebrating Cortina Watch’s 50th Anniversary, Corum presents the Admiral 45 Tourbillon Cortina Watch 50th Anniversary Special Edition. An exclusive timepiece featuring Corum’s audacious use of avant-garde fusion that mixes carbon with eighteen carats of gold.

This Admiral 45 Tourbillon is an exquisitely crafted forty-five millimetre timepiece with only ten pieces being made. Every piece has its own unique emblematic dodecagonal-shaped Admiral case due to the results of combining fluctuating layers of carbon composite with eighteen carats of gold inclusions. For this collection, the use of cutting-edge material further enhances the prominence of the gold elements as well as the purity of the stark black sunray-finished dial and the tourbillon.

This rare timepiece features a sunray-finished anthracite dial with an aperture at six o’clock for the tourbillon. The sunray-finished dial has a subtle iridescence that radiates a magnetic aura. This noteworthy piece includes a closed dial compared to Corum’s other tourbillon watches that have openworked dials. The ‘upright key’ emblem of Corum is applied by hand to add dimension and finesse to the overall look – a craftsmanship skill that illustrates their mastery of horology and watchmaking. Moving to the CO 891 calibre, this automatic timepiece includes a power reserve of fifty-two hours. In addition, it features a hundred metres of water resistance as well as black superluminova coated hands with 5N gold-toned skeleton dauphine-variant.
