With only 20 cars released, the Chiron Sport ‘110 ans Bugatti’, which translates to 110 years of Bugatti, pays tribute to its home country, France.
Three years after Bugatti impressed us with the Bugatti Chiron Sport, the creme de la creme of luxury cars has now released a special edition of the Chiron Sport for its 110th anniversary.
With only 20 cars released, the Chiron Sport ‘110 ans Bugatti’, which translates to 110 years of Bugatti, pays tribute to its home country, France. Lest we forget, Bugatti is a French marque.
The French tricolour “Le Bleu-Blanc-Rouge” with its colours of blue, white and red, decorates the body and interiors at several points and harmonises perfectly with the extraordinary Chiron Sport.
The 20 special edition cars will also wear a Steel Blue exterior colour in a matte finish, which will extend to the C-shape that envelops the doors and the front half of the car that is usually painted in a different color than the rest of the body.
The matte-finish color will extend to the exposed carbon fiber of the front end as well, while the alloy wheels will be painted in Nocturne matte black and will feature special “110 ans Bugatti” center caps. The rear diffuser and bumper, meanwhile, will be finished in steel blue carbon offset by a contrasting black exhaust system.
The typical Bugatti line, the dominant “C” surrounding the passenger compartment, is also painted Steel Blue. The front end consists of exposed carbon fibre in Steel Blue Carbon, once again a matt colour suggestive of steel. The two-tone colour scheme is reminiscent of historic models: in the 1920s, this type of paintwork was a sign of luxury and exclusiveness, while it now signals a sporting character and high technological competence.
Exclusive hand-crafted interior
The French tricolour also features at several points in the interior of the “110 ans Bugatti” special edition. These include the two headrests and the back rests of the sports seats, decorated by high-quality embroidery with the French flag in a vertical position, and the 12 o’clock mark on the leather steering wheel. The sports steering wheel combines matt carbon fibre with a blue leather cover.
Another special feature bearing witness to the high level of craftsmanship is a specially crafted medallion in the central console stowage space, made of solid silver with enamel inserts, positioned on a carbon fibre plate.
While the appearance of the 110 Ans Bugatti has gotten a striking makeover from the existing Chiron Sport, it has no mechanical changes.
But we are not complaining. With its 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine producing nearly 1,500 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque, it is still a magnificent beast.
