From the start, the sky and the Earth have always been part of Bell & Ross’ DNA, a source of inspiration and creativity for the House. To celebrate a coming-together of the azure sky and the blue planet, Bell & Ross has recently announced a new version of the BR 05 GMT, which features a celestial and symbolic colour, an exclusive blue-tinted dial.
Utilitarian yet urbane, the newest timepiece is all about duality. After all, what could be more fitting for a “dual time watch”? Rather than accepting compromises, Bell & Ross has always chosen to go beyond convention and the BR 05 GMT Sky Blue is no different.
Designed for travelling, it offers the modern traveller a clear and simple display of a second-time zone thanks to a fourth hand. For perfect readability, this hand with a large white arrow-shaped tip instantly indicates the time of the country of origin due to a 24-hour graduated inner bezel. This flange is enhanced by a two-tone treatment, sky blue and silver, satin-brushed and rhodium-plated, making it possible to immediately tell the difference between the hours of the day and those of the night.
As all Bell & Ross watches, the latest BR 05 version is stylish and draws its effectiveness from the brand’s experience in designing and producing instruments for professionals. With the Super-LumiNova coated hands, the model not only glows brightly at night but also provides optimum readability during the day.
Powering this timepiece is a Swiss-made self-winding mechanical movement that’s water-resistant to 100 metres. The crown is screwed in, making the watch perfectly versatile for daily use. Embracing a dual inspiration, it also offers two types of attachment – a satin-finished stainless-steel bracelet and a blue rubber strap, perfectly complementing the tone of the dial.
