Thirty-two sapphires, 8 tsavorites and one diamond make up the colourful bezel.
For this year’s Baselworld, Rolex brings 8 new timepieces to the table but none caught our eyes as much as its Yacht-Master 40 with a bezel set with multicolour gemstones.
The sporty watch has seen many different sizes such as the 40mm, 37mm and even the 35mm, and has had gemstones decorate its bezel before but none compare to this year’s feat.
The latest Yacht-Master 40 is not all that much different from the one we know from 2015 save for a rainbow-coloured bezel.
Thirty-two sapphires, eight tsavorites and one diamond make up the colourful bezel, set in 40mm 18k Everose gold case, Rolex’s special rose gold alloy. Making the colours really pop is the rich glossy black dial with oversized white lume Chromalight plots.
At the heart, it is still powered by the same trusty automatic calibre 3135 movement and retains the same ability to be water-resistant till 100 meters.
It is held together by a black Oysterflex rubber strap developed and patented by Rolex and locks into place by means of a 18k Everose Oysterlock clasp.
