Ferrari is sure to be a cinematic feast of all things fast cars, 1950s fashion and the beauty of Northern Italy. The film, directed by Michael Mann, has been in the works for over the last 20 years – a long-time passion project of his. Ferrari marks Mann’s return to filmmaking since the 2015 cyber-thriller Blackhat, and was mostly shot in Brescia, Italy, where the authentic location of the historic Mille Miglia race took place.
Based on a book by the late Brock Yates titled Enzo Ferrari – The Man, The Cars, The Races, The Machine, the role of the automobile entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari is Adam Driver. Oscar-nominated Cruz plays Enzo’s wife, Laura Ferrari, while Shailene Woodley portrays longtime mistress Lina Lardi. Also starring in the film are Hollywood A-listers like Patrick Dempsey, Jack O’Connell, Sarah Gadon and Gabriel Leone.
