BVLGARI Jannah
Bvlgari pays tribute to the first of its kind collaboration with Her Highness Sheikha Fatima binti Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the ruling United Arab Emirated Royal Family with the Jannah collection. The divide between East and West is bridged through this partnership, and at the heart of this dazzling collection is a five petal flower inspired from the intricate five petals blooms that embellish the Carrara marble ceilings and architecture. It reflects the richness of the UAE, paying tribute to its heritage while crafting a legacy for its future. Lucia Silvestri, the Creative Director for High Jewellery for Bvlgari caught inspiration for the Jannah collection after listening to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima’s stories and vision for peace and tolerance in the region.Other objects of opulence that form the core of the Jannah collection also include glittering tiaras, delicate ring bracelets, second skin ‘Poncho’ collars and a sautoir bestowed upon the Princess’s beloved grandmother – which has her grandfather’s name ‘Zayed’ engraved in Arabic at the back of the pendant. Van Cleef & Arpels Romeo & Juliet
Romantic whimsy meets meticulous craftsmanship in Van Cleef & Arpels’ tribute to one of the most iconic lovers of all time – William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. The highlight of the collection obviously being the lovers immortalised in the form of beautiful clips. Romeo is fashioned in dazzling blue sapphires and lapis lazuli, of his Montague colours, while Juliet is dressed in Capulet shades of orange sapphires, rubies and spessartite garnets. Romeo offers his beloved a bouquet of mauve flowers – the colour symbolising the mixing of the blue and red of the two feuding households. The maison also cleverly plays with colour in other members of the collection such as the Lover’s Path bracelet, which features three Colombian emeralds while the blood red Burmese ruby in the Filtro d’Amore ring echoes an amazing passion and heartbreaking tragedy. This collection allows the wearer to relive this classic romance with colours and textures, without having a single word spoken. W vancleefarpels.com
