Founded in Amatitán – a small town in Jalisco, Mexico – Código 1530 was created by five Mexican families for over a century before hitting the international market in 2016, and they strictly used traditional methods to make the tequila. First, the fully-matured agave was cooked in stainless steel ovens, then the liquid was left to ferment with yeast before the two-time distilling process in handmade stills began. In the final process, the product was aged in French Oak Cabernet wine barrels from the Napa Valley for more textures.
All Código 1530 bottles of tequila are produced with no chemicals, flavourings, or sweeteners to maintain originality. There are five varieties available in Malaysia – Blanco, Rosa Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and the Origen Extra Añejo which is aged for six years. Código 1530 Blanco
Blanco is made with 100% pure, fully-ripened, Blue Weber agave, making sure the Brix level – also known as sugar content – is on par with the recipe. This tequila is crafted with the best and purest ingredients that require no resting period, allowing its rich, authentic agave flavours to be savoured.
The liquor has a natural earthy mineral character that balances the citrus sweetness perfectly. You’ll notice crisp, bright flavours like citrus, vanilla, and sweet agave, making it impeccable for cocktails or even for sipping on the rocks.
Código 1530 Rosa Blanco
This floral-flavoured tequila begins production by resting the Código 1530 Blanco in the finest, uncharred Napa Valley Cabernet French white oak wine barrels for one whole month. The Cabernet-stained wood will infuse the floral notes into the liquor, creating the pink hue we see in the Código 1530 Rosa Blanco.
On the first sip, you’ll taste the notes of the Blanco, followed quickly by soft red wine notes of the Cabernet, and the sweet agave aftertaste. The Rosa is best sipped on its own when chilled and is perfect for a quiet evening with your loved ones.
