Breaking the designer x fast fashion status quo, the collection is a blend of Coach’s modern heritage meeting Rodarte’s romantic aesthetic.
Sisters behind Rodarte, Kate and Laura Mulleavy and Coach’s Stuart Vevers recently celebrated the launch of their limited edition collection in Los Angeles called the Coach x Rodarte collection, first announced back in January.
Ever since Stuart Vevers took over as the Creative Director of Coach back in 2013, the brand rebounded and explored things we wouldn’t have expected. We saw the rebellious lasses, boho chic and the all-American girl on the runways, which brought us to this one-of-a-kind collection.
Breaking the designer x fast fashion status quo, the collection is a blend of Coach’s modern heritage meeting Rodarte’s romantic aesthetic, comprising 39 pieces of heavily embellished dresses to biker jackets.
The looks
“We love how Coach believes in American luxury and craftsmanship. We also love their incredible archive and the imaging of the brand over the years,” says Kate and Laura Mulleavy. While Vevers adds, “Rodarte’s conceptual approach to American style was the perfect lens to reimagine nostalgic Coach pieces. The mash-up of influences resulted in a romantic cool collection that feels right for both houses.”
The Coach x Rodarte capsule collection will be out on the 14h of April, worldwide.
