Hublot Big Bang
Created by tattoo artist Maxime Plescia-Büchi, the Hublot Big Bang Sang Bleu II plays with relief and depth.
If you’re someone who deeply appreciates the art of fine lines, geometry, and intricate details, Hublot and tattoo artist Maxime Plescia-Büchi have come together to create the Hublot Big Bang Sang Bleu II in Titanium White and King Gold White.
This new iteration is a reminder that white is the starting point of all creations, a “neutral basis that highlights the artist’s mastering of shape and form”. Known for his talent in grapho-typo-tattoos, Plescia-Büchi plays with relief and depth to create the architecture of the watch in three dimensions.
Behind every angle, facet, and line of the icy Big Bang Sang Bleu II White, the tattooist has made careful incisions into the material – including the case, the hexagonal bezel, the sapphire glass, and the hands. The watch is fashioned out of titanium and King Gold, with some models set with diamonds, and is accompanied by a white rubber strap with black rolled edges fitted with thee patented One Click system. Its use of polished and satin-finished materials help to accentuate the monumental architecture of the watch, creating a harmony with the complex design.
The watch is a recognition of the spirit of squaring the circle, using hexagons, rhombuses and triangles to play with the form. A chronograph function is added to the watch, which strengthens its originality without altering its readability. The skeleton dial and open back reveals the Unico manufacture HUB1240 automatic chronograph flyback movement with column wheel. It holds a power reserve of 72 hours, and equipped with water resistance up to 100m.
