Show your support for Pink October with these pink style and beauty picks

We’ve curated a list of pink style and beauty products you can purchase to either directly or indirectly contribute to the fight against breast cancer.

In high-income countries, approximately 9 out of 10 breast cancer patients survive 10 years. In Malaysia, only 5 out of 10 patients will make it to that same extent, according to Cancer Research Malaysia. This is attributed to late detection and poor or late access to treatment, which are potentially preventable causes.

With that in mind, the Pink October campaign continues to bear significance – and that’s why every little gesture in support of its message of breast cancer awareness counts. In fact, lending a hand can be as easy as treating yourself to a shopping spree!

We’ve curated a list of pink style and beauty products you can purchase to either directly or indirectly contribute to the fight against breast cancer. Take your pick from our selection below.

Alia B Awaken sweatshirts

Together with local artist Sofia Haron, Alia Bastamam has designed an exclusive sweatshirt with her striking artwork in support of the Nationa Cancer Society of Malaysia. Named Awaken, the artistic painting of an eye within a mouth is inspired by the importance of looking inward beyond what’s projected on the surface. With this message, they hope to promote self-awareness that we can begin to build a deeper connection with humanity. Available in black or white, all proceeds from these sweatshirts will benefit NCSM. W

Brian Khoo twilly scarf

Like Celest Thoi and Keith Kee, Brian Khoo is one of the 16 MODA designers who has contributed his time and design flair for Pink October. His merchandise consists of two twilly scarves – one in blue and the other in pink (pictured above) – ideal for mixing and matching with a friend! The animal print motifs are reminiscent of his previous collections, and the scarves can be styled a variety of ways, such as around the neck, tied around your hair or adorning your handbag. W
