In the world of luxury yachting, few names evoke the same level of admiration and prestige as Bluegame yachts. Founded under the leadership of Luca Santella, the luxury yacht brand is celebrated for its strong ties to Italian craftsmanship and ingenuity – melding cutting-edge technology, unparalleled comfort, and timeless design. After nearly two decades, Bluegame has now established itself as a leader in the industry, catering to those with a discerning taste for the finer things in life.
The luxury yacht builder has three ranges in its portfolio – the original BG, BGX and BGM – each offering a unique blend of performance, sophistication, and adventure. When it comes to choosing the right model for the best yachting experience on the open sea, it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and requirements. Allow us to break it down for you.
For open, social adventures: BG
As the original range that breathed life into the brand, the BG category is perfect for open-minded owners with a rebellious spirit and a taste for adventure. All BG yachts boast high performance, low fuel consumption and smooth handling in all conditions.
The BG54 is one covetable option in the range. As the first boat of the 2.0 generation, it has been redesigned with the up-to-date technical evolutions that bring improvements in the areas of ergonomics and functionality. The large spaces of the stern offer plenty of room and versatility to store loose furniture and water toys or host social gatherings. The bow, designed to be a unique and extraordinary space for this type of boat, is elevated with a dinette that converts from a dining area to a lounge area.
While the fun and adventure primarily takes place on the main deck, the lower deck is equipped with cabins and amenities for guests to rest and relax in stylish comfort. With its Volvo IPS propulsion engines, owners have the option of a three-cabin layout or a VIP in the two-cabin version with en-suite bathrooms – all fitted with clean, modern furnishings.
For unrivalled comfort and elegance: BGX
For those looking to unwind and enjoy a luxurious sunny yacht experience during summer, the BGX range is a great pick. Innovation is at its peak in this range, showcased in the sophisticated exterior design and unique layout of both BGX yachts: the BGX63 and BGX73.
Measuring 19.2 metres (63 feet) in length, the BGX63 strikes the perfect harmony between intimate cruising and entertaining on a grand scale. At first glance, this yacht catches the eye with its sleek and contemporary design. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, its exterior features expansive deck spaces that invite relaxation, socialising and entertaining – whether basking in the sun on the foredeck sunpads or enjoying al fresco dining in the cockpit.
Step inside and you’ll be greeted by luxuriously appointed interiors that exude understated elegance. The BGX63’s open-plan layout maximises space and light, inviting airiness and freedom throughout the main deck. With accommodations for up to six guests across three beautifully appointed cabins including a spacious master suite, every journey aboard promises comfort and refinement.
But what truly sets the BGX63 apart is its innovative beach club concept, seamlessly integrating indoor and outdoor living spaces to create a multifunctional area that serves as a private oasis by the sea. From hosting water sports activities, social gatherings, or simply unwinding in the serenity of the ocean, this concept epitomises the Bluegame ethos of luxury without compromise.
Stepping up in size and performance, the BGX73 represents the pinnacle of luxury yachting, offering an unmatched combination of performance and comfort for a home-away-from-home experience. Stretching 22.5 metres (73 feet) in length, this yacht commands attention with its striking profile and commanding presence on the water.
The BGX73’s exterior design is a testament to both form and function, featuring innovations that exude power and performance. From the expansive foredeck sunpads to the spacious flybridge equipped with a wet bar and dining area, every inch of the yacht is crafted with the discerning traveller in mind. Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS engines, the yacht delivers a thrilling cruising experience with exceptional fuel efficiency and manoeuvrability.
Inside, the BGX73 continues to impress with its impeccably designed living spaces and luxurious amenities. The main deck features a spacious salon with panoramic views, perfect for relaxing in style and hosting intimate gatherings. Below deck, four sumptuously appointed cabins offer accommodations for up to eight guests, including a lavish full-beam master suite that rivals the finest five-star hotels.
For stable and sustainable cruising: BGM
If what you seek is a vessel that sits in a class of its own in the luxury yacht market, look no further than the BGM range. The M stands for “multihull”, which typically offers greater speed and stability in various water environments. There is currently only one model in this Bluegame range, namely the BGM75, although other models are reportedly in the works.
Launched during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023, the BGM75 took three years to build and is not like any other multihull yacht out there. This is due to its reduced width in favour of a ratio between beam (8.15 metres) and length (22.7 metres) closer to a monohull, resulting in an elegant and balanced design that moves away from the boxy silhouette of a catamaran. At the same time, it retains the advantages of a multihull, including having larger spaces that ensure uncompromised sailing comfort. Notably, it has a seamless lower deck and a full beam owner’s cabin – an unprecedented feature for a boat with two hulls.
Thanks to the expertise of world-class designers Bernardo Zuccon and Piero Lissoni, the BGM 75 features beautiful external lines and well-appointed interiors in terms of layout and use of materials. There are expansive spaces on board and ample ways of utilising the outdoor areas to transform the boat into a large island. The bow lounge area also doubles as a sundeck with plush sofas facing the navigation direction, whereas the terrace offers an ideal spot to bask in the sun in total privacy. Characterised by sober elegance, the interiors feature spacious cabins and living areas that combine functionality and comfort.
Further, the hull is designed by Philippe Briand, a world-renowned expert in the design of high-performance hulls, offering superior fuel efficiency with up to 40% effective power savings. Bluegame also used carbon for the hull and lightened materials for all the non-structural parts and furnishing components, allowing for a reduction in consumption. All in all, the BGM75 is built to provide maximum comfort, refinement and high liveability while leading sustainable innovations.
