If there’s a brand that knows how to get suitcases right, it’s Rimowa. Its sleek simple design and choice of aluminium material have managed to make bulky luggage a thing of the past.
Now, you can also encase your iPhone with that Rimowa touch as it unveils a series of iPhone protective cases, exclusively designed for the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max. Best bit? It mirrors the marquee’s signature luggage to the tee.
Like the luggage, they’re made of the same lightweight aluminium. They come with a shockproof TPU Perimetre for enhanced grip and boast the signature groove lines on the back. The brand’s new monogram logo of intertwined curves with sharpened angular edge, unveiled the year before in conjunction with the celebration of its 120th anniversary, sits subtly at the bottom.
For now, they come only in two colours – silver and metallic pink.
The cases are the first to come from the brand itself. It has been trying to diversify its product offerings, as seen with a capsule collection of luggage it released with Fendi last year. It also partnered with Aesop for a mini travel kit once, as well as Supreme for an exclusive collection.
Other projects include a set of 46 special luggage stickers with artist Olafur Eliasson.
The iPhone cases are priced at US$101 and are available on the official website here, as well as in select flagship stores worldwide.
