After much anticipation, Resorts World Genting (RWG) has announced its reopening following a three-year refurbishment, presenting a newer, fresher and all-around more exciting experience.
For over half a century, RWG has steadily evolved, continuing to innovate and reinvent itself, catering to increasingly discerning generations of families and consumers of family-oriented entertainment.
As it welcomes a new facelift, here are five new excitements visitors can look forward to at the ultimate family getaway.
Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park
Built across 26 acres at an elevation of 6,000 feet above sea level, Genting SkyWorlds will take guests on a sky-high adventure through nine movie and adventure inspired ‘worlds’, perfect for the whole family to create fun and memorable moments together. Check out the action-packed 3D interactive ride at Night at the Museum: Midnight Mayhem or spin into a whirlwind of fun with Blu, Jewel and the Rio crew at Rio Carnaval Chaos! Don’t forget to try out Samba Gliders ride which will give you the ultimate bird’s-eye view of every corner of Rio.
Don’t forget to pick up some limited-edition merchandise from one of our retail stores for your loved ones. Genting SkyWorlds is offering a special 20% discount during its soft opening* period from now until 30 June 2022. Apart from that, there are special packages bundled with rooms as well as other attractions such as Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park and Awana SkyWay.
Resorts World Genting Indoor Attractions
With all that Genting SkyWorlds has to offer, the themed entertainment at RWG doesn’t stop there. Spanning over 400,000 square feet is Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park which offers more than 20 rides and attractions. Guests can also step into new worlds at SkyVR for a multi-sensory experience that defies the virtual realms of reality. Among the many attractions at SkyVR include XD Theatre, Malaysia’s biggest VR Theatre and VirtuGlobe which takes guests on an immersive virtual journey in a free-moving VR environment.
The fun and games continue at Big Top Video Games Park, where families can delve into the nostalgia of old-school arcade and carnival-styled games. If that’s not enough, inquisitive and curious young minds will certainly be fascinated with Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Adventureland, which showcases some of the wackiest and weirdest exhibits our unusual world has to offer, that simply cannot be seen anywhere else.
Dining destinations galore
A great way for families to bond is over a good, hearty makan session. At RWG, guests are spoilt for choice with plenty of food and dining options at just about every turn and corner, with everything from gastronomic cafes to fast food joints; from soul-nourishing Asian favourites to succulent western hamburgers; from healthy snacks to sweet confectionary – the list goes on.
Sky high accommodations
With so much to see and do at RWG, it is certainly impossible to experience it all in just one day. So, consider an overnight stay or two at RWG with various hotels to choose from – Crockfords, Genting Grand, Highlands Hotel, First World Hotel and Resorts World Awana. Crockfords is the only hotel in Malaysia to receive the prestigious 5-star rating by the Forbes Travel Guide for three consecutive years (2019 – 2021).
