All Malaysian users need to do is make a transaction via Razer Pay at participating Berjaya outlets from 4th July to 30th August 2018, and Berjaya will donate RM10 to Tabung Harapan Malaysia.
The dawn of a cashless society is upon us, with the number of e-payment platforms rising by the month. Latest to join the growing list is the Razer Pay e-wallet – a partnership between Razer Inc., the world’s leading lifestyle brand for gamers and Berjaya Corporation Berhad.
Launched earlier today by co-founder and CEO of Razer, Tan Min Liang and founder and executive chairman of Berjaya Corporation Berhad, Tan Sri Vincent Tan, the new e-wallet service offers three main features: top up easily, transfer quickly and pay everywhere.
To top up a Razer Pay account, users can either visit the nearest local 7-Eleven store to purchase a Razer Pay top-up PIN or transfer funds via online banking. Participating banks currently include AmBank, Bank Islam, CIMB, Hong Leong Bank, Maybank, Public Bank and RHB Bank.
Transferring money to friends and family is also made easier with peer-to-peer cash transfers. In just a few simple steps, users can transfer their Razer Pay credits to another user or a bank account (a quicker alternative to conventional bank transfers).
And of course, the emphasis of all e-wallets is to make cashless transactions, in which Razer Pay boasts an impressive debut for its extensive merchant network of over 6,000 retail outlets in Malaysia. Among the participating brands today include 7-Eleven, Starbucks, Wendy’s, Kenny Rogers, Cosway, Singer, 99 Speedmart and more.
On top of that, users can make instant online transactions for games and video entertainment services such as zGold MOLPoints, Steam Wallet, Garena, Sony PlayStation, Spotify, iflix, and Astro NJOI, to name a few; as well as prepaid mobile top-ups for Malaysia’s top telcos.
But wait, that’s not all – in support of the Tabung Harapan Malaysia initiative to relieve the country’s national debt, Berjaya Corporation Berhad has pledged to donate up to RM5 million to the fund. All Malaysian users need to do is make a transaction via Razer Pay at participating Berjaya outlets from 4th July to 30th August 2018, and Berjaya will donate RM10 to the fund, subject to terms and conditions.
What’s more, to celebrate the launch of Razer Pay, every new user will receive RM10 bonus credits when they sign up for an account from 4th July to 30th September 2018.
Download the Razer Pay app from the iOS App store or Google Play store now to enjoy these benefits.
