The Prada Group sure knows how to entice the sweet-tooth as much as the next fashionista, alright.
Gucci has the Gucci Osteria. Tiffany & Co. has the Blue Box Café. And in case you missed it, Prada has the Pasticceria Marchesi – a historic Milanese landmark offering traditional Italian pastries and sweets – which it acquired 80 percent of in 2014.
Soon, a new Marchesi bakery will be opening its doors in Mount Street, London and it promises to be every fashionable foodie’s dream come true.
Think multi-coloured cakes, pastries and candies, traditional panettone and chocolate pralines, as well as espressos – all made with a touch of class. Oh, the Prada Group sure knows how to entice the sweet-tooth as much as the next fashionista, alright.
That epicurean finesse is reflected in every corner of the bakery’s design and interiors. Retro-looking glass displays draw passersby in for a closer look of its tempting treats. Once inside, marble floors, plush green armchairs, vintage cherry wood counters and glass cabinets stocked with even more decadent delights make an attention-grabbing welcome.
The new location will be the first outside of Milan, with the original bakery located in Via Santa Marria alla Porta and two others being in Via Monte Napoleone 9 and Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II.
It is slated to open in April, and you can bet it will be a pit stop come the next London Fashion Week.
