TUDOR introduces a new technical model with a completely different look. It’s called the Black Bay Pro, and it has a 39-millimetre diameter, a fixed steel bezel, and a Manufacturer Calibre with a GMT function built in.

The reference time is represented on the Black Bay Pro model by an angular yellow “Snowflake” hand, a TUDOR aesthetic characteristic, which completes a lap of the dial every 24 hours. Another, smaller “Snowflake” hand set by a jumping hour, which can be pushed backwards or forwards, indicates local time. The date, which is displayed through an aperture at 3 o’clock, is linked to the local time hand so that when adjusting the time and passing midnight in retrograde, it jumps to the previous day immediately.

The Manufacture Calibre MT5652 has a “weekend-proof” power reserve of roughly 70 hours. This allows the wearer to remove the watch on Friday evening and replace it on Monday morning without having to reset it.

While this watch is part of the Black Bay line, it features a number of new and unique aesthetic features, beginning with the winding crown, which is built for maximum grip. This new component is fitted flush to the central case band so that its tube is not visible, similar to the curves found on the crowns of the brand’s classic technical watches. The attached hour markers on the dial are composed of monobloc luminous ceramic, which is a new innovation. This function improves the Black Bay Pro’s mechanical look while significantly boosting the luminous surface of the hour markers.

The list of additional features in this model is completed by a new bracelet clasp with a TUDOR “T-fit” rapid size-adjustment system. The “T-fit” system is simple to use, requires no equipment, and has five locations. It lets the wearer make a delicate, quick adjustment of up to 8mm on the clasp.
