Louis Vuitton has unveiled a second collection of Silver Lockit bracelets designed by the late Virgil Abloh, as part of the Maison’s ongoing partnership with UNICEF. Even as the fashion community continues to feel the loss of the designer, architect and artist, his legacy lives on in his works which continue to inspire and impact the lives of others.

As Louis Vuitton Men’s Artistic Director from 2018 to 2021, Abloh brought a fresh interpretation to the Silver Lockit bracelet in February 2020, breathing new life into the collection. The reimagined piece bore Abloh’s signature elements such as bold chains and thick cords, in addition to a silver padlock and a Louis Vuitton charm.

The new 2022 collection retains the same emblematic details as its predecessor, but now includes new materials and colours such as natural or black titanium for the chain, padlock, and Louis Vuitton charm, and neon yellow, rainbow or black for the cord bracelets.

Launched back in 2016, Louis Vuitton’s partnership with UNICEF was aimed at helping provide life-saving support in humanitarian situations to vulnerable children across the globe. As a result, the Maison has been involved in supporting emergency response efforts in India, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Lebanon, Ukraine and more within the past six years.

A total of over USD $18 million has been raised for UNICEF through the sale of the brand’s Silver Lockit bracelet and pendant collections. New iterations of the Silver Lockit bracelet have been released every year in support of UNICEF’s important work. 

For every purchase of a Silver Lockit by Virgil Abloh, a $100 donation will be made to UNICEF.
