The Reine de Naples collection is known as the most delicate and elegant line of Breguet watches, worn as a symbol of feminine refinement while taking heavy inspirations from the bracelet watch Abraham-Louis Breguet created for Caroline, sister to Napoleon Bonaparte and Queen of Naples.

Continuing this regal line is the addition of a new, brilliant model – the Reine de Naples 8938. The watch comes imbued with unrivalled luminosity and splendour, with a delicate snow setting of 384 diamonds adorning the dial.

While decorating timepieces with precious stones has been a cherished watchmaking tradition for over five centuries, the snow technique is one that calls for great dexterity and unwavering patience. In contrast to the traditional concentric setting, this technique uses different sized stones to cover the dial, thereby keeping the visibility of the material upon which they are set to a minimum – resulting in an unmatched brilliance.

Available in two 18-carat variants: white gold with a baby blue leather strap and rose gold with an orange leather strap, the Reine de Naples 8938 features an off-centre, natural white mother-of-pearl hours chapter at 6 o’clock. Breguet’s traditional numerals and timeless moon-tipped hands adorn the dial. The setting continues on the dial flange, the bezel, and the brilliant-cut diamond lug, which also can be seen on the rare cutting of the crown’s briolette-cut diamond. To light up this timepiece, more than three carats of diamonds were used.

Fitted with a self-winding mechanical movement Calibre 537/3, the Reine de Naples 8938 includes an escapement, silicon balance spring, and a finely engined-turned platinum rotor, giving it 45 hours of power reserve.
