Baselworld’17: Dior looks to the stars

It’s no secret that Monsieur Dior was a superstitious man, with charms like the Lily of the Valley, the Rose, and even stars having guided a big part of his career and creations.

At this year’s Baselworld, the creative team at the House of Dior looks back to his fabulous belief in destiny and premiered a new collection dedicated to the founder’s love of stars.

The Dior Grand Bal Piéce Unique Galaxie invites its wearer to discover the galaxy and its endless wonder with 10 spellbinding and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Stars are replicated onto wrists with diamonds and gold inserts while the inky sky of the universe is translated by means of opal dials, and metallised gold pleating and draping. They are mounted onto equally dazzling colour-shaded patent calfskin straps
