The three-year wait for a new Sam Smith album will finally end next year, with the release of his fourth record, Gloria. Smith’s single “Unholy” in collaboration with Kim Petras has already become a smash hit on TikTok, and we can’t wait to tune into the rest of the album. Gloria will feature 13 tracks, including 2 interludes and songs with singers Jessie Reyez and Ed Sheeran.

This Is Why by Paramore
Following the release of their single “This Is Why”, Paramore has announced their sixth studio album after a five-year long wait. Hayley Williams spoke about the title track, saying that “It summarises the plethora of ridiculous emotions, the rollercoaster of being alive in 2022, having survived even just the last 3 or 4 years,”. The new album is set to have 10 tracks, though an official tracklist has yet to be released.

Broken by Desire to be Heavenly Sent by Lewis Capaldi
Soon after releasing his single “Forget Me”, which climbed to No. 1 in the UK, Lewis Capaldi announced his second album that’s set to release on 19 May next year. Broken by Desire to be Heavenly Sent is the follow-up to his debut album in 2019, which broke Ed Sheeran’s UK chart record. Capaldi will also be kicking off a UK and European tour in January next month.

R9 by Rihanna
While fans have been waiting since 2016 for Rihanna to drop a new album, it looks like the wait is almost over. Dubbed R9, the icon teased a new album since 2018, although it may have been delayed due to the birth of her baby boy with ASAP Rocky. Despite that, the singer confirmed that her new album will be reggae-based, with a possible pop album on the way too.

LP3 by Dua Lipa
Back in March this year, Dua Lipa revealed that her newest album, dubbed LP3, is already halfway done. However, just this month she shared that the album has taken a “complete turn” and she is expecting to keep writing into the early months of 2023. “It’s about understanding what I want,” says the Albanian singer who also added that her new album will be more about self-empowerment.

Cardi B
Since her album “Invasion of Privacy” in 2018, fans of the Bodak Yellow rapper have been eagerly awaiting new tunes. Cardi confirms that she will be putting out a new album next year in an interview, saying that she already has a couple of definite songs but still feels like something is missing. After the release of her 2018 album, Cardi had two children with Offset, hence why she has yet to release any new studio records.

Blink-182
After a 10-year hiatus, Blink-182 is going back on tour in 2023 with founding member Tom DeLonge. Despite leaving the band twice, DeLonge has reunited with Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus for a tour that will truly spark nostalgia among the American rock fans. The reunion is also rumoured to bring about a new album, following the band’s 2019 record, titled “Nine”.
