Who run the world? Girls. Case in point: At 20 (going on 21 in August), Kylie Jenner could very well hit a 10-figure net worth within a year – which would make her the youngest self-made billionaire in history since Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in 2007, who holds the record at 23 years of age.
Jenner’s recent Forbes’ cover story revealed that her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics – of which she is the sole owner – has sold more than $630 million worth of makeup to date, with an estimated $330 million in 2017 alone. Add that to earnings from her TV show, Life of Kylie; endorsement deals; and after-tax dividends; and she’s estimated to be worth $900 million.
This also makes the new mum and youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan the youngest in ranking of America’s Richest Self-Made Women.
And to think that it all started with a $29 Lip Kit, which sold out in less than a minute back in 2015. Of course, she was already dubbed a social media influencer then – undoubtedly one of the reasons behind the sell-out success.
“Wow. I can’t believe I’m posting my own @forbes cover,” she shares with her 110 million followers on Instagram. “I’m so blessed to do what I love every day. I couldn’t have dreamt this up!”
Still, this impressive feat would not have been possible if she had not pursued what she loved. Congratulations, Kylie – we’ll be keeping an eye out for the billion-dollar news!
