In an age where the world is moving increasingly fast and consumers are becoming more tech-savvy and multifaceted, PCs are now more essential than ever. Not just any PC, but one that’s able to handle multitasking – including browsing, editing, virtual meetings and optimal viewing experience. This is where HP Malaysia’s latest launch, the HP Spectre x360 14 comes in.
More than just a big brother to the 13-inch model, this all-new 2-in-1 PC boasts some serious mettle for today’s on-the-go user. From performance gains to multiple smart features to provide an improved user experience, here are 5 coolest updates to know about the HP Spectre x360 14.
New 3:2 aspect ratio screen
The most noticeable feature of the device is its new 3:2 aspect ratio display, the first-of-its-kind in the Spectre x360 family. This offers about 20% more vertical viewing space than the traditional 16:9 ratio, allowing users to see more content at a glance. It also features a 90.33% screen-to-body ratio (STBR) to offer the viewability of a 15-inch display within the 13.5-inch form factor.
Latest 11th Gen Intel® Core™ processor
In terms of performance, the new model comes with the latest 11th Gen Intel® Core™ processor which delivers a 34% performance improvement and 79% performance gains with the integrated Intel® Iris® Xe graphics, compared to its predecessor. Paired with the highly efficient Intel® Evo™ platform, this translates into better responsiveness, instant wake, optimised battery life and fast charge capabilities.
More sustainable keyboard
Another highlight HP Malaysia is quick to note at the launch is the advances it has made in sustainability to boast “the world’s first laptop to use keyboard scissors made from natural, renewable material” that is also Energy Star and EPEAT Gold certified. Thanks to its sustainable material, it saves approximately 1,300 pounds of coal being burned in carbon emissions over the lifetime of the device. The all-in-one keyboard scissors features a power button, new camera shutter button, HP Command Center, a mute mic and a fingerprint reader.
Faster connections
The processor isn’t the only thing that’s fast. Now equipped with Wi-Fi 6 as well as Bluetooth 5.0, Thunderbolt™ 4 and HP Quick Drop, the convertible laptop is able to support up to 3 times faster internet connection speeds and more seamless data transfers respectively.
Smart features
On top of the above, the device comes with a plethora of software abilities that intelligently adapt to a user in different conditions. For instance, Smart Sense optimises the performance, acoustics, and temperature automatically based on the application being used and the placement of the laptop, while Focus Mode dims background apps that are not in use and keeps the main app or software bright to save battery and maximise productivity.
