There are several remarkable examples of hotel interior design across the world, but as genuine Malaysians, we failed to see that our country is in fact endowed and replete with hotel interiors that are so well-thought-out that they may actually shift the design discussion.
We wanted to go below the exterior and delve deeper into the legacy of hotels that symbolise innovative vision and artistic architecture. Here are five hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with interiors that defy convention.
1. Arte by Thomas Chan
Arte by Thomas Chan is a tribute to the French luxury, warmth, and pleasure of life, with precisely handmade Baroque-inspired columns, poetic hand-painted frescos, and remarkable creative expertise. The hotel, dubbed as the the highest hotel in the multicultural enclave of Mont’Kiara, links you to an abundance of foreign experiences.
The rooms and suites provide classic French elegance honed for today’s business, leisure, and family tourists, with a 24-hour fitness centre and an opulent infinity pool.
