The reason is simply, that there’s been a certain authenticity in the vibe of every single piece of content, video, IG comment and X interaction – and it all comes down to the heart-warming celebrity friendship between the two main cast members, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
Inspired by their genuine relationship, we got to thinking about some of our favourite famous BFFs, and here are some celebrity friendships that will give you all the feels.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman

We couldn’t not start the list with this adorable pair of celebrity friends, whose relationship begins way back when on the set of X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2007. Amidst the constant roasting and ribbing, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman share a genuine love and respect for each other’s work ethic, talents, personality, and sense of humour. Their People interview from May this year clearly portrayed the depth of their 17-year bond. And knowing the chemistry is real off-screen, certainly makes the on-screen characters much more enjoyable to watch.
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez

Here’s another best friend pair that’s tried the test of time, and their nearly two-decade-long friendship has been inspiring and heartwarming to fans and non-fans alike. Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift first met in 2005 as they were both dating a Jonas brother, and though the romantic relationships didn’t last, their friendship certainly did. As child stars who both started their careers at incredibly young ages, they must have had a lot in common, and have proven indispensable to each other. The pair often mention each other in their award speeches and are seen together at public shows. We can’t help but want to support their love for each other too.
Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson
When it comes to celebrity friendships, this duo might not come as a surprise, but Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson have been friends even before their Hollywood careers took off. This duo met in a playwriting class when they were both in university in 1989, and they became roommates soon after. Their antics in those early childhood days directly inspired their film Bottle Rocket, which they wrote together and was Wilson’s first film as well as Anderson’s directorial debut. And this collaborative friendship has remained strong ever since, with Wilson appearing in most of Anderson’s films to date – most recently in The French Dispatch.
Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox

Almost as if it was predestined, the cast of Friends truly did come out of their 10-season run as fast friends and confidantes. But the most tight-knit of all has to be Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox being best of friends. Cox was the maid of honour at Aniston’s wedding while Aniston is the godmother to Cox’s daughter – among other moments of life where they’ve supported and stood by each other. We look forward to seeing their annual birthday posts on Instagram that deliver equal parts happiness and nostalgia at seeing the Friends we grew up with still together to this day.
Blackpink’s Lisa and GOT7’s BamBam
Here’s one for the K-pop fans – Thai stars and global pop idols Lisa and BamBam have been friends since childhood. It’s well-known that they were part of the same dance team in their youth, and that Lisa is close to BamBam’s family too. And it’s interesting to see their shared determination too, as they grew to be among the biggest stars in both Korea and Thailand. And while K-pop idols tend to be more private about their personal lives and friendships, it’s still nice to know that they both have someone to count on and remind them of home.
Sydney Sweeney and Maude Apatow

The Euphoria stars have had nothing but praise for each other ever since they first met on the set of the hit HBO show in 2018, with Sweeney calling Apatow the “sister I always wished I had.” Although they play sisters with a rocky relationship in the show, their off-screen relationship is comfortable and they would often hang out on set with each other in the downtime. And while Euphoria is currently on hiatus till 2025, we can’t wait to see more of what this iconic pair get up to in the future as their careers continue to blossom.
