For the first time ever, andBeyond – famed for its luxury safari lodges and camps across Africa – is dipping its toes into yachting with the launch of ‘andBeyond Galapagos Explorer’. The new 124-foot masterpiece sets a new standard for exploration in the breathtaking landscapes of the Galápagos Islands.
“A uniquely biodiverse environment with the highest number of endemic species in the world, the Galapagos is a natural choice for the further expansion of our portfolio in South America,” said andBeyond’s Executive Chairman and CEO, Joss Kent. “We are absolutely thrilled to finally have the opportunity to bring our brand of responsible tourism to this precious part of the world, which the Ecuadorian government has protected from over-tourism by strictly limiting the number of operating licenses issued.”
Set to sail this summer, the Galapagos Explorer offers two distinct seven-night adventures, each brimming with opportunities for immersive encounters with the archipelago’s iconic wildlife, and exploration of the eastern and western islands including Floreana, Española, San Cristóbal, Isabella, Fernandina and Santiago. There are also ample opportunities for land and sea adventures such as birdwatching, snorkeling, kayaking and hiking.
With a maximum capacity of just twelve guests, the yacht ensures an intimate and personalised experience. Guests are accommodated in beautifully appointed spacious indoor and outdoor lounges, four exquisite cabins and two luxury suites. Lavish areas, expert guides and a commitment to responsible tourism further enhance the voyage, promising unforgettable memories while contributing to the preservation of this unique ecosystem.
“We have long believed that the best way to encourage our guests to help protect the world’s wild places is for our skilled guides to help travelers not only fall in love with those places, but also to gain an understanding of the threats that they are facing,” said Kent. “This is what we are aiming to do through the introduction of our luxury yacht, where two knowledgeable guides will host just twelve guests, showcasing the wonder and mystery of this exceptional destination.”
Rates for a seven-night cruise start at USD 10,950 per person. For more information or to book, log on to the website.
