BMW Malaysia introduces the latest generation of BMW X3 and BMW X4 this week, offering three new variants for the BMW X3 and one for the BMW X4.
All locally assembled, the BMW X3 sDrive20i M Sport, BMW X3 xDrive30i M Sport, BMW X3 xDrive30e M Sport, and the New BMW X4 xDrive30i M Sport are primed to raise the bar in the premium SAV segment with their striking design, comprehensive powertrain range, and numerous new features.
“As we move into a year full of electrification possibilities, BMW Group Malaysia is also thrilled to electrify our locally-assembled BMW X3 for the very first time, while offering different powertrain options for those who prefer different driving experience,” said Hans de Visser, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia..
Updated exteriors
Flaunting a revamped exterior, the New BMW X3 and BMW X4 features larger kidney grilles linked by a central bridge, a new front apron design with vertical air intakes, and slimmer headlights with full-LED technology. The plug-in hybrid version of the BMW X3 is distinguished by its charging port near the left front wheel.
Further changes for the New BMW X3 include a modified range of alloy wheels that are up to 20 inches in size, full-LED tail lights with three-dimensional side contouring, and larger tailpipes, while the New BMW X4 sports vertically positioned reflectors and a rear bumper with new inserts.
Available as standard across the new variants is the M Sports Package, which provides upgraded equipment levels and a streamlined range of vehicle configurations. This is reflected in the larger air intakes and specific front aprons, in addition to new colour offerings, rims, and interior trim finishers.
A variety of exterior colour schemes, such as Alpine White, Brooklyn Grey, Phytonic Blue or Carbon Black, are available with the new New BMW X3 variants to complement the Leather Vernasca Black with Blue Stitching in the interior. The New BMW X4 comes in Alpine White, Piemont Red, Phytonic Blue and Carbon Black, along with Leather Vernasca Black with Contrast Stitching on the inside.
Extensive powertrain options
Two petrol variants are offered for the New BMW X3 sDrive20i and xDrive30i, not to mention a PHEV variant with the BMW X3 xDrive30e. The New BMW X3 xDrive30e, alternatively, affords a range of up to 50 km (WLTP) in all-electric mode to bring a sporty driving experience with lower emissions.
Increased connectivity
Offering advanced connectivity, the new BMW X3 and BMW X4 models’ interiors feature a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen Control Display, zinc-plated elements in the air vents and added control functionality in the centre console. Elegant leather upholstery and sport seats with pronounced side bolsters add to the new variants’ premium feel.
With the New BMW X3 sDrive20i, BMW Live Cockpit Plus offers black panel technology, analogue circular dials and a 5.1-inch display in the instrument cluster, while the rest of the models have BMW Live Cockpit Professional as standard. All the new variants include a significantly upgraded BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, and the new BMW Maps, a cloud-based navigation system.
Drivers of the New BMW X3 and BMW X4 can have peace of mind on the road with the driving assistant systems that feature Lane Change Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Front Collision Warning with brake intervention as standard.
