While some of the dresses and suits were spectacular and the hairstyles and makeup wowed, for us, it was all about the dazzling jewellery at this year’s Oscars. There appears to be a return to old school glamour. And with it, a fairly subdued taste when it came to jewellery.
Sparkly statement collar necklaces were the leading trend here, worn naturally with a lot of off-shoulder gowns. Emily Blunt took the cake with a truly magnificent Tiffany & Co. necklace with almost 700 diamonds combined that played off the shimmery embroidery of her Schiaparelli gown. Likewise, Charlize Theron looked absolutely stunning in Dior, accentuated by Boucheron silver choker sets.
