Flashback to late August, Oppo patented a slider phone with an extendable display, bringing the classic slider phone concept to the touchscreen smartphones that we use today. Recently, images of a possible slider phone made in collaboration with American fashion designed Tom Ford were uncovered and revealed by LetsGoDigital.
According to LetsGoDigital, they had obtained new documentation on the unique Oppo slider smartphone with a rollable display, triple camera, and “Oppo x Tom Ford – Design for Concept Shakira” emblazoned on the rear side.
This stylish device comes with a retractable screen, that opens vertically to increase the display by 80%. However, the screen itself doesn’t show any notch or lens for a selfie camera, possibly hinting that the smartphone will use an under-display camera.
On the right side of the slider phone sits the SIM card slot, which can only be accessed when the screen is fully extended. The top of the device also features extendable golden hoops on the sides to allow the user to loop through with a chain or ribbon and wear it like a fashion accessory.
While Oppo has not made any comment on whether or not this phone will be made official, but based on the concept photos – we can expect many who will jump onboard this special edition.
