A new era of design
The Mercedes-Maybach refines the dynamic design of the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV with exclusive elements that enhance its presence. A symbol of prestige, the iconic Mercedes-Benz star crowns the bonnet, while the front fascia features a signature black panel with vertical chrome trim, creating a striking three-dimensional effect.
For the first time, the black panel is fully enclosed, seamlessly integrating advanced radar sensors. This innovation is made possible by indium, a radar-permeable material, coated with a silver layer and deep black lacquer for a high-gloss finish with exceptional depth.
Refined chrome accents and signature Maybach design elements enhance the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV’s presence. The front bumper features chrome-plated slats with the Maybach insignia integrated into a sleek decorative strip aligned with the DIGITAL LIGHT headlights. The Maybach pattern subtly enhances the trim, while the DIGITAL LIGHT system provides a distinctive welcome and farewell display.
Upon entry, the Maybach emblem is projected onto the ground alongside an animated illumination of the Maybach pattern. Chrome detailing frames the windows, with the iconic B-pillar trim enhancing spatial elegance. The Maybach emblem on the D-pillar, discreet EQS lettering, and high-gloss black wheel arches add refined touches.
The SUV rides on exclusive 21-inch multi-spoke wheels with intricately crafted hub caps. Illuminated running boards with anodised aluminium treads and a signature pinstripe aesthetic complete its luxurious design.
At the rear, the sophisticated design continues with an uninterrupted light strip featuring a two-part helix motif, creating an elegant, animated illumination across the vehicle’s full width. Chrome accents on the tailgate, rear apron, spoiler lip, and the distinguished MAYBACH lettering further enhance its refined aesthetic.
Completing the exceptional presence of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is the signature two-tone paintwork, applied by hand to the most exacting standards. Inside the pinnacle of luxury
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV offers advanced convenience and luxury features. The automatic comfort doors at the front and rear enhance accessibility. As the driver approaches, flush door handles extend from six metres away, and at 1.5 metres, the driver’s door opens automatically. This function can be controlled via the MBUX central display, which also allows remote operation of all other doors via the vehicle key, central display, or MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment. The driver’s door closes automatically when the brake pedal is pressed.
Inside, the EQS SUV’s interior exemplifies the marque’s commitment to elegance and innovation. At its core is the MBUX Hyperscreen, seamlessly integrating a “zero-layer” interface with exclusive Maybach animations across three displays. The deep blue colour scheme is unique to this model, enhancing its refined aesthetic.
The instrument cluster, in MAYBACH mode, features dynamic animated displays, with silk-like pointers that respond to speed and driving style, while numerals subtly adjust in size. Signature rose gold accents frame the round instruments, adding a final touch of opulence. A sportier “Pure EV” mode offers a dynamic performance bar reflecting the vehicle’s driving status.
Personalisation is key, with three display styles – Discreet, Sporty, and MAYBACH – and modes for Navigation, Assistance, and Service. Rear passengers enjoy two 11.6-inch screens integrated into the seatbacks, an MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment system, and a removable MBUX rear tablet for enhanced convenience.
Luxury craftsmanship is evident in the natural materials and meticulous detailing. Standard MANUFAKTUR brown open-pore walnut wood trim extends to the center console, with optional finishes including open-pore birch or piano lacquer black. The Exclusive Nappa leather upholstery is available in rich hues such as espresso brown and balao brown pearl, with Maybach MANUFAKTUR options in crystal white/silver grey pearl, all sustainably sourced.
The Maybach emblem is subtly woven throughout the cabin, from stainless steel pedals and illuminated footwells to wood trim and headrests. A wood/leather multifunction steering wheel with galvanised gearshift paddles completes the fusion of heritage and modern sophistication.

Executive seats offer ventilation, massage functions, neck and shoulder heating, and a calf massage feature. The Chauffeur Package enables the right rear seat to recline while the front passenger seat moves forward for added space. Integrated into the ENERGIZING COMFORT suite, massage programs further enhance passenger relaxation.
The reimagined First-Class Rear compartment features a seamless, floating design extending from the front console. For the first time, wooden trim adorns the rear storage, complementing the wood accents on the front seat backrests and between the rear seats for a cocooning feel. A discreet projector illuminates the Maybach emblem on the floor. Luxuries include thermal cup holders, a shelf for the MBUX rear tablet, and advanced connectivity with USB-C ports, wireless charging, and HDMI interfaces. Folding tables create a refined mobile office, while an optional refrigerated compartment offers space for champagne and bespoke flute holders.
Each C-pillar features an integrated designer lamp, while adaptive rear lighting includes reading lights in the grab handles and light strips in the headlining. The brightness, size, and positioning of the lights are customisable.
Further, the Ambient Lighting system extends throughout the vehicle, with Active Ambient Lighting offering 253 individually controlled LEDs and 64 colors, including exclusive Maybach shades – Rose Gold White and Amethyst Glow. A signature “Welcome” display greets passengers with a luminous carpet and an illuminated effect on the rear doors.
The ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL Plus system, equipped with a HEPA filter (High-Efficiency Particulate Air), ensures exceptional air quality within the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV. The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV revolutionises in-car audio with the Burmester® 4D surround sound system, offering an immersive, concert-hall-quality experience enhanced by Dolby Atmos®. The system features 15 high-fidelity speakers and two exciters per seat, creating a tangible 4D sound. Passengers can personalise audio settings via MBUX user profiles, including headphone playback. Beyond music, the exclusive “Aerial Grace” driving sound adapts in real time to driving inputs, transforming motion into a dynamic acoustic symphony.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV enhances the quietness of the EQS SUV with advanced noise and vibration reduction. Encapsulated electric drivetrains, a specialised front axle frame, and doubly decoupled drive units minimise sound and movement. In the rear, a securely fixed, ARTICO-upholstered luggage compartment cover acts as a bulkhead, isolating the boot for superior noise suppression. The new Disconnect Unit (DCU) increases efficiency and tranquillity by automatically disengaging the front motor under light loads, ensuring a smoother, quieter ride.
Sustainable Luxury: Vegetable-tanned Nappa Leather
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is the first Mercedes-Benz model to use vegetable-tanned Nappa leather, reflecting a commitment to sustainability. Coffee bean shells and natural agents replace traditional tanning chemicals, with a closed-loop water system reducing waste. This process eliminates salt preservation, saving 45kg per leather-seated vehicle, and repurposes by-products into upcycled goods. Coffee farmers also gain by selling coffee bean shells.
Mercedes-Benz ensures its leather supply chain meets strict sustainability standards, avoiding illegal deforestation and requiring ethical animal treatment. The chrome-free tanning process uses only vegetable-based agents, with suppliers conducting full Life Cycle Assessments.
Beyond leather, the SUV features recycled materials like Econyl® carpeting, secondary steel, and recycled aluminium. Its production, including the battery, is carbon-neutral, supporting Mercedes-Benz’s decarbonisation goals.
