According to the Resort’s Manager, Irene Vairo, it took the proprietors two years to locate, deconstruct, move, and restore these heritage homes in Langkawi. And while the roots and the structures of each building are maintained, the decors and furnishings of houses, rooms, and suites on the other hand, have been remodelled.
Each houses are fully equipped with plush beddings, air-conditioned, wifi, digital entertainment and TV streaming services. This is a resort that offers you an upscale living experience while experiencing Malaysia’s glorious life on the magnificent island of Langkawi.
The resort’s headliner, ‘Straits House,’ is the latest premium addition promise to provide guests an improved historical living experience in a contemporary environment. The 90-year-old Eurasian home, originally from Penang, consists of four bedrooms and ensuite bathroom, making it perfect for families or parties of up to eight people. The highlights of the house are none other than its classic façade and posh interior—with vivid yellow and dramatic sky-blue colours covering the walls of each bedroom.
In terms of foods, this hotel is honouring its Malaysian roots by providing an aisle with Asian dishes such as Ayam Percik, Nyonya Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Fried Rice, and others. Their breakfast buffet caters to the Western side, with buttery pastries, omelettes, pancakes, and colourful fruit palettes.
There’s also a spectacular dinner experience provided for lovebirds and honeymooners. If you’re thinking of surprising your partner with a romantic dinner without having to move outside the resort area, opt for the ‘Dining Under The Stars’ menu, which consists of a five-course meal priced at only RM388+ per couple.
The menu offers robust ‘Amuse Bouche’ of mushroom egg crepe and prawn mango tartare, as well as a velvety pumpkin soup. For appetiser, indulge in their special Salmon Niçoise. For the main course, there’s a choice of Grilled Chicken Breast with Signature Percik Sauce, Truffle Mashed Potato & Vegetable Legume, or Grilled Barramundi with Seafood Tomato Stew. For dessert, enjoy the Chocolate Brownie with Italian Gelato and Fresh Berries.
