Besides traipsing down the catwalk as the creative director for maison de couture Chanel and Italian house Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld looks to welcome a line of hotels and restaurants.
Is there anything Karl Lagerfeld cannot do?
The world-renowned designer extraordinaire is expanding his design expertise from the runway to the world of hospitality with what is soon to be the most talked about hotel line – the Karl Lagerfeld Hotels & Resorts.
It’s not just a small scale project either because when does Lagerfeld ever do anything in any way less than magnificent – the luxury title will include private clubs, restaurants, residential properties and hotels.
One of his most highly anticipated hotels is to be opened this year and is located in the Las Vegas of Asia, Macau. We’re looking at a 20-storey tower with 270 guest rooms and suites, designed entirely by the fashion guru. While we’ll have to wait a while to have a glimpse at what magic exactly his genius would have spun, let’s have a look at some other interior designing he has lent his hand to.
Prior to this, Lagerfeld has added his luxe interior touches to other parts of the world such as the pool in Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo, Monaco, the Coco Chanel room in Hôtel Ritz Paris and 10 suites at the 5-star Patrick Hellmann Schlosshotel in Berlin.
