The Harry Winston Emerald Collection is the epitome of elegance and sophistication.
To Mr Harry Winston, the emerald-cut is considered the most elegant and flattering cut for precious stones. Its svelte figure and soft, clean lines is like the LBD but in jewellery form, capable of adding a touch of sophistication to any look. In fact, the he loved the emerald-cut so much that it also serves as the logo for the jewellery House, as well as the inspiration for Harry Winston salons all over the world.
And what better way to celebrate the King of Diamonds himself than to dedicate a timepiece collection dedicated to the diamond-cut? Harry Winston presents the Emerald Collection, a series of contemporary timepieces that feature the iconic cut.
The Emerald Quartz 18mm model was first introduced in 2016, and was immediately established as a must-have for its subtle femininity and elegance. Its success eventually led to the launch of the larger 33mm variation in 2019.
The 18mm models feature a diamond-set bezel, which nods to the legacy of the founder. Meanwhile, the more architectural 33mm case highlights its dial with beveled details, and also comes with a diamond setting. Both the 18mm and 33mm models are both crafted in either 18-carat white or rose gold, with the 18mm also available in yellow gold – a first for Harry Winston.
Available with sunray satin-brushed finish or mother-of-pearl, each dial of the timepieces in the Emerald Collection is crowned with an 18-carat gold Harry Winston logo or with a precious stone in the form of an emerald-cut. The emerald is also celebrated on the nacre dials with a central octogonal motif in brilliant-cut precious stones. The timepieces are dressed in equally elegant colours, including the classic Winston blue that adds an electric pop of colour to the collection. While three precious brilliant-cut diamonds mark the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock indicators on the ladies models, three-dimensional indexes indicate the hours on the 33mm pieces. The 33mm models are also designed with sloping sides and include an emerald shape beveled date window.
The 18mm models are offered exclusive straps depending on the style and preference of the wearer. Satin double tour matching the dial colours help embellish the modern woman, while the supple 18-carat gold Milanese bracelet serves as the more elegant option. On the other hand, the 33mm timepieces are fitted with classic alligator leather straps.
The Emerald Collection aren’t just treasures that embellish, but they’re also instruments for a glamorous everyday life. In terms of functionality, the timepieces are offered in Swiss high-end quartz and automatic movements. Minimalists will find their match with the 18mm models that only display the hour and minutes, while the 33mm models come with date displays for those who prefer the hustle. The latter also comes with a seconds hand that constantly runs around the dial.
