The latest iteration of the Bulgari Octo Finissimo now comes with a deep blue lacquered dial.
Sporty watches don’t have to be limited to rubber straps and a myriad of complications. Luxury timepieces don’t need to be bedazzled to evoke a sense of glamour and sophistication. The new Bulgari Octo Finissimo S proves both.
What sets the iconic Octo Finissimo apart is its elegant thinness and ultra performance. It has won over 50 awards since its debut in 2014, redefining the landscape of men’s watches while setting new parameters for contemporary, urban watches. Since its inception, it has always been about creating something unique that stands out from the crowd. Bulgari created a new shape for contemporary men’s watches through Octo Finissimo, and introduced a new trend and new codes for ultra-thin watches.
The latest iteration of the Octo Finissimo saga is seen in the Octo Finissimo Automatic Satin-Polished Steel, now offered in a polished lacquered blue dial. It marks a turning point for Bulgari, with this collection that emphasises how discreet luxury can be versatile too.
The Octo Finissimo S comes in a 40mm extra-thin satin-polished steel case with a thickness of 6.40mm, which, alongside the screw-down crown, contributes its water-resistance up to 100 metres. It houses a Mechanical Manufacture movement with automatic winding via a platinum micro-rotor, and the BVL138 Finissimo calibre is embellished with Côtes de Genève motif, chamfered bridges, and ciruclar-grained baseplate.
It comes in either a black or blue lacquered dial with sunburst finishing, adorned with faceted diamond rhodium-plated hands. The timepiece is finished off with an integrated satin-polished steel bracelet with folding clasp.
“We’re taking these record-setting timepieces from being a Supercar to a Grand Turismo – an extraordinary car that you drive every day,” commented Jean-Christophe Babin. “Compared to the extreme Sportscar it’s more like an all-wheel drive, as it’s 100 metres waterproof – you have the screw crown, you can dive, swim, take a shower; it’s great for dressing up or dressing down so you can wear it from the tennis court to the board room.”
