Get upclose with new BMW launches
Perhaps the highlight of the weekend’s festivities, at least for those on the market for a new set of wheels anyway, will be the exclusive launch of some brand new BMW models.

Kicking off the string of new launches at the event is the second-generation BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. Malaysia is set to get the 218 Gran Coupé Sport and like its hatchback sister, there’s a ‘two-tier’ arrangement for the headlamps and grille. Under the hood is a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque. Paired to a seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission sending drive to the front wheels, acceleration from 0–100 km/h is achieved in 8.6 seconds, on to a top speed of 230 km/h.
The car also comes with comes BMW’s Driving Assistant package that includes Lane Change Warning, Speed Limit Info, Rear Crossing Traffic Alert with brake intervention and Exit Warning. There’s also Reverse Emergency Braking and Predictive Forward Collision Warning.
Then, there’s set to be another update for the iconic 3 Series, specifically for the 320i Sport and 330i M Sport. One key update for both variants is the inclusion of adaptive cruise control with stop and go. This means that now, the entire 3 Series line-up comes standard with the driver assistance technology – joining existing functions like autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, rear collision warning, traffic sign recognition and auto high beam.

Finally, look out for the unveiling of the new BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport, the compact luxury crossover SUV or SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) as BMW would rather call it, that comes complete with an M Sport package, meaning it combines the X3’s practical and luxurious features with a more sporty, high-performance look and feel.
The car showcases a tall bonnet typical of the SAV design, with a kidney grille in Pearl Chrome featuring two individual elements that make a striking impression. New LED headlights with L-shaped lighting elements flank the grille, enhancing its modern appeal. Under the hood, the new BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 48-volt mild hybrid technology, delivering a combined output of 208 hp and 330 Nm of torque. Paired with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission, the addition of xDrive all-wheel drive system updates the rear-wheel drive of its predecessor.

Apart from the new launches mentioned, BMW will also shine the limelight on its M performance brand. Through this, BMW will introduce to Malaysians its first-ever electrified M5 that brings hybrid power into the heart of our most iconic high-performance sedan. Alongside this, the new BMW M3 Competition M xDrive is also set to wow the crowd with its enhanced design and intelligent all-wheel drive capability.
Meanwhile, the equally new, bold, compact and built for drivers BMW M2 Coupé, and the fresh-out-of-the box BMW M4 Competition M xDrive, will also be showcased publicly for the first time in Malaysia at the event.

If you’re keen on something that’s a bit more out of the ordinary, BMW will also have its all-new BMW R 1300 RT touring motorcycle from its Motorrad division. Here’s a bike that’s known for its comfort, technology and powerful 1,300 cc boxer twin engine. Specially designed for long-distance rides, it incorporates features like optimised wind protection and a dynamic design for a top-class touring experience.
This will be joined by the all-electric MINI Cooper JCW and MINI Aceman JCW, the pair of new-age hot hatches that are all set to showcase MINI’s electrified performance and go-kart driving fun!
Last but certainly not least, visitors to the three-day event can also look forward to exclusive deals from BMW Group Malaysia. For example, those who book selected models during the event will enjoy special lower interest rates starting from just 0.5%. Customers will also receive a complimentary five-year BMW service for their new cars, along with an Easy Drive 1st Year Comprehensive Motor Insurance Subsidy worth RM 5,000.
