Owned and operated by Autobahn Motors, you can select your new choice of steed – shall it be a Bentley, Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini or Porsche? – as easily as by swiping through a touchscreen display and have the car arrive within minutes. It is delivered to you like how a vending machine would deliver your soda or snack of choice – by means of a path cutting right down the middle of the Autobahn building on a moving platform.
The concept materialised as a result of Singapore’s infamous lack of land. Gary Hong, general manager of Autobahn Motors said, “We needed to meet our requirement of storing a lot of cars. At the same time, we wanted to be creative and innovative.”
Creative and innovative indeed as the clever showoom is not only the world’s first luxury car vending machine, it is also the world’s biggest with its 15 storeys housing more than 60 exotic and classic cars.
