Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon
Since Day 1 of SIHH 2018, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept has remained among the top of our list of women’s watches to premiere this year. With an openwork 18-carat white gold dial set with 397 brilliant-cut diamonds or 174 baguette-cut diamonds no less, it’s quite easily the ladies’ magnet. But this watch isn’t just about “shrinking, pinking and adding a few diamonds”, the brand claims; it also features the first Audemars Piguet flying tourbillon – emphasising mechanics and jewellery in a single timepiece.

Piaget’s signature Possession collection was injected with a burst of new colours for SIHH 2018, plus an impressive rotating bezel to capture the “Sunny Side of Life”. The four new shades include bright turquoise, red carnelian, green malachite, and deep blue lapis lazuli, each bedecked with diamonds on a revolving ring.
Cartier Panthere Hypnose Pendant Watch
Not all watches are worn on the wrist, and this pendant version from Cartier takes a spot on this list for its symbiosis of high jewellery and skilled watchmaking. The Hynose pendant combines diamonds and sapphire crystals to form the shape of a panther, with emeralds for eyes and a skeletonised Caliber 9613 MC at the heart of its movement.
Van Cleef & Arpels Chrysantheme Secret Watch
While the Lady Arpels Planetarium made one of the most outstanding pieces from Day 2 for its poetic concept, the Chrysantheme Secret Watch stands apart as a high jewellery masterpiece. Designed with nature in mind, the Chrysantheme takes inspiration from the chrysanthemum flower, highlighted by a spiral of diamonds and pink sapphires. Girard Perregaux Cat’s Eye Day & Night High Jewellery
New to Girard Perregaux’s Cat’s Eye collection is the Day & Night high jewellery piece, featuring a white gold case with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds and a diamond-paved moon phase dial with 149 brilliant-cut diamonds. Even its white gold buckle is fitted with 14 brilliant-cut diamonds, making up a total of 215 diamonds on the watch. A self-winding mechanical movement brings the creation to life, enchanting its beholders with rhythmic time-telling.
