Embraced by nature
Designed by award-winning Australian firm Kerry Hill Architects, the destination resort draws inspiration from our local architectural heritage, namely traditional kampung houses. Spanning 128 acres, it features a collection of 42 Junior Suites, two double-bedroom Grand Suites and an exclusive four-bedroom Villa One. Reimagined with modern touches, each self-contained suite is enveloped by nature – either facing the sea or lush greenery. All suites boast private plunge pools, expansive living spaces, luxe bathrooms and painstaking locally-designed features.
On top of that, the resort features 50 private homes available to own or rent – ideal for couples or families looking for a spacious dream home in nature’s embrace.
Dining haven
Nothing says luxury like an exclusive beachside venue, and One&Only offers just that at Ember Beach Club, located on the edge of the resort’s secluded coastline. With critically-acclaimed Chef Andrew Walsh at the helm of its culinary team, guests can expect a cuisine infused with Asian flavours enriched through the age-old tradition of open-fire cooking. At the club, guests can luxuriate in sand-hued sun loungers, shaded cabanas or the open-air terraced bar which overlooks the two infinity pools and a pristine beach – all with a glass of cocktail in hand.
Additionally, a wide variety of restaurants and bars are available to satisfy different palates. Ambara serves field-to-fork Mediterranean-leaning cuisine using produce from local farmers and the Chef’s Garden. Hoshi invites fans of Japanese cuisine to savour the art of tempura with an open bar concept offering intimate interactions with the masterchefs, whilst Essential celebrates the vibrant flavours of Malaysia next to the serene 50-metre infinity pool. Come evening, Dusky Monkey welcomes guests to enjoy a selection of creative straits-inspired bites, bespoke cocktails and specially curated menu of fine spirits.
Holistic retreat
As holistic wellness is at the heart of every One&Only destination, the resort’s Chenot Spa promises to rejuvenate the mind, body and soul with a scientific approach built around four pillars – Sport & Physical Activities, Emotional Wellbeing, Nutrition, and Aesthetics. There’s also a fully-equipped fitness studio, a specialist Pilates studio and a yoga pavilion that overlooks the azure sea to allow guests to work at their fitness and wellness goals.
For those up for some action at sea, a range of water sports activities such as wakeboarding, kayaking and water skiing await. Other facilities include Club One, where guests can take advantage of the state-of-the-art tennis and padel courts or pick up a Silat Melayu class; the Els Club, a championship level gold course for golfers to hone their swing; and KidsOnly, a fun and educational hub for the young ones to explore.
