First from the range to be introduced is Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish – a rich honeyed expression with the intensely sweet flavours of bourbon and rye.

There’s a reason why Johnnie Walker is today the world’s number one selling Scotch – behind its doors is a team of expert blenders that are continually creating a myriad of blends, experimenting with hundreds of ongoing combinations of flavours.

After many decades of boundary-defying blending, it has decided to pick the best of its results and release a range of blends called the Johnnie Walker Blender’s Batch.

More than just a fancy name, the new range is a brand new, limited edition series of experimental whiskies, made for those who are open to new flavours and new ways of enjoying the age-old drink.

This year, first from the range to be introduced is Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish – a rich and warm honeyed expression with the intensely sweet flavours of – as its name suggests- bourbon and rye.

It is born from head distiller and master blender Dr Jim Beveridge’s time spent blending bourbon and rye in Kentucky in the 90’s, with immense depth and subtlety in flavour. Drawn from over 200 whisky samples and aged in first-fill bourbon casks and finished for up to six months in former rye casks, this expression is bottled in individually numbered bottles.

Get a taste of it on its own or as modern cocktails at select outlets nationwide including Mish Mash, The Vault, Forking Cork, Urban & Co, Culture Club, Mulligan’s Signature, Pawn Room, The Attic, Berlin, Chaze, Suzie Wong, Locker & Loft and O’Sesame for a limited time only.
