The pandemic has taken a toll on many aspects of equally as many parties. One of the most unseen casualties is that of our mental health, one that continues to get chipped away the longer the pandemic stretches out.
In an effort to address the critical need for mental health resources and support to be made more widely available and accessible, med tech company BookDoc founded by Dato’ Chevy Beh has come together with Pfizer Malaysia to provide that platform for Malaysians who need it, leveraging on both parties’ medical expertise and technology to connect with members of the public.
Self-assess and seek help
Anyone who needs help can access it on BookDoc’s digital platform.
A quick self-assessment quiz provides a quick snapshot of a person’s mental health and lead them to seek treatment if they are experiencing mental health symptoms.
They can leverage on BookDoc’s functionality such as tele-consult to reach out to mental health specialists via live chat, or receive mental health support from trained volunteers, anonymously. Those who wish to book an in-person consultation with a healthcare professional located near them may do so seamlessly on BookDoc’s platform.
Separate to this campaign, the MMHA provides financial subsidy for people accessing its psychological support services through the generosity of various funders and sponsors, all as part of BookDoc’s aim to promote mental health literacy.
